As a former educator and university professor, Dr. Freed is
very familiar with academic settings.
Another component of Dr. Freed’s practice involves students of all ages,
particularly those who are struggling.
Dr. Freed is experienced in the evaluation of ADHD and learning
disabilities. More importantly, Dr.
Freed will make recommendations to improve school performance.
Many colleges and universities require a recent
psychological evaluation in order to receive academic accommodations. Many students with ADHD are first diagnosed
in college after having been successful students in high school. The increased academic demands of college
often result in academic failure for students with ADHD. Depression and problems with self-esteem
often occur. If ADHD or learning disabilities
are present, Dr. Freed will recommend appropriate changes to the educational
environment. Dr. Freed can also meet
with the student for ongoing tips and counseling.
